SONG WRITING

If you know me, you know I love song writing.  Ive been doing it for most of my life.  I cant find the notebook but it dates back to 4th grade, trying to woo girls with cheesie love songs.  Well I started there and nearly 25 years later I have written for Netflix, CBS, ABC, NBC, Paramont, BBC, Films, you name it.  I've had an album break into the Radio Top 100.  I've taught songwriting in schools. I've written with and for other artists, churches, etc. etc.  The one thing I've learned along the way, is that like any other skill, writting is just about practice.  The more practice we get the better we get, the more in tune with ourselves we become, the freer we live, the more connected we get to each other and fuller our lives become.  It's a beautiful thing that I have come in contact with, and as much as possible, it's my joy to share it with others.  Try out the 6 week challenge or come on a retreat.  I'd love for you to be a part of it.

SONG WRITING GROUPS

GIVE TO Artist Et Cetera

    You may have seen, I’ve been leading six song writers groups, hosting a monthly writer group, teaching songwriting classes, etc. I’ve also been paring these with general artist care and mentorship at little to no cost to artists. All of these things are pushing in a direction. My hope is to one day open a non profit that is an artist hub in Milwaukee. A place that offers free or inexpensive artist development, studio space, venue, care, housing, and food to anyone who is doing the hard work of being an artist. We do not have favorable conditions in Milwaukee for artists which is why many quit or move. Id love to see Milwaukee become an artist hub. Anyway, I am continually raising funds for writers groups, mentorship, and creative sessions. A gift of any amount helps to keep these things rolling.

    All money goes to covering costs for events/ and keeping the price of every artist event to a minimum (if not free). As a thank you for giving, you will receive some of the songs that are created at each event.

    6 WEEKS / 6 SONGS

      Once every 3 months I host an online and in person writing group. This is for all levels of song writers. Each week I send out a prompt on discord, you have 1 week to write, record (voice memo is fine) and upload a song. Every day your song is late, it will cost you $10. This is a fun, dynamic and encouraging group that will convince you that you are more of a writer than you know.
